In contrast to the previous product safety directive, the GPSR expands the obligations for online marketplaces such as Amazon by making them more responsible for product safety.
The REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) is an EU regulation that regulates the handling of chemical substances. It requires companies to provide information about the substances contained in their products.
Compliance with REACH is crucial to ensure consumer safety and to enable products to be sold within the EU.
