As announced, Kaufland has continued its expansion and has now launched its online marketplace in Austria and Poland.
In August and September, the company went online with its online marketplace in Poland & Austria.
In a message on LinkedIn, Kaufland welcomed its new customers and sellers: “We warmly welcome all sellers and millions of potential new customers to the fifth Kaufland marketplace! ”
Kaufland was apparently able to arouse the interest of many marketplace partners before the market launch. According to the company, several thousand salespeople are already represented on the platform at the start. They offer Austrian customers a range of more than three million products.
Kaufland highlights that opening up the new target group enables sellers to reach around 81 million potential customers. For providers who haven't signed up yet, the company offers early-bird deals and promises a head start on building their brand.
The market entry in Austria is not only a further step in internationalization for Kaufland, but also represents a special feature: For the first time, Kaufland is expanding into a country in which the company is not represented by a stationary store. In addition to Germany, Poland and Austria, the platform is also active in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
